Home Renovation Benefits Disabled Veteran’s Family in Orlando, Florida
AUGUST 16, 2016 (Independence, Ohio) – NLC Loans, (NLCLoans.com) a national direct lender of VA, FHA, and conventional loans, has teamed up with Military Makeover in a three-part series airing on Lifetime Television® to give back to a wounded veteran and his family in the renovation of his family’s home in the Orlando area. The show, hosted by US Marine Corps Staff Sergeant R. Lee Ermey, aids and supports military veterans and their families who are in need of improved housing solutions by enlisting the help of decorators, designers, landscapers and other home renovation experts.
Military Makeover identified Lance Corporal Michael Adams and his family as a perfect candidate for the home makeover. Adams was injured when his vehicle ran over a mine resulting in injuries to his left ankle and wrist. He was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD. Michael and his wife Britiany have two children; Nevaeh, 8 and Cecelia, 3. Cecelia was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as well as other developmental challenges.
Given their medical circumstances, the Adams family didn’t think they could afford to own their own home. NLC Loans stepped in to provide guidance and education on securing a veteran’s loan on their rental property to help them realize the benefits of home ownership. Adams rented the home from a close family member.Â
