NLC Loans Employees Make a Big Splash at “Dunk for the Cure”

NLC Loans employees gathered in the summer heat for a great cause today. They took part in a “Dunk for the Cause” event that benefited former NLC Loans employee Nichole Bryant, who is currently battling cancer. More than 20 employees took turns being plunged into the chilly waters of the NLC Loans dunk tank.
Employees paid a $5 donation for three turns to try to dunk their favorite company personalities. NLC Loans CEO Jeremy Sopko was among those who got dunked, and by the end of his stint on the hot seat, he was soaked to the bone.
“I’m happy to participate in this,” said Sopko. “It’s for a really great cause.”
Chief Administrative Officer Cheryl Lieber said that employees raised $1,629, all of which went directly to Ms. Bryant to help assist her in paying mounting medical bills.
Lieber wasn’t exempt from the dunk herself, of course: she made quite a splash being dunked more than half a dozen times.
Participants were treated to free ice cream from an onsite ice cream truck, which was perfect given the day’s treacherous temperatures, which were in the low 90s.
Lieber said she was happy to see so many enthusiastic folks coming together for a fellow former-NLC Loans employee.
“The foundation of our company is its people,” said Lieber. “We are truly blessed to have exceptional, talented and loyal employees who choose to enter our doors every day to help make us successful.”
