NLC Loans’ NLC Cares gives back to Jeremy Cares and Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital

NLC Loans, (NLCLoans.com) a national direct lender of VA, FHA, and conventional loans, gives back to support the foundation Jeremy Cares and their partnership with Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Each year, NLC Loans’ charity committee, NLC Cares, rallies together to support different organizations throughout the year. Looking back on 2016, through the support and efforts of the company’s employees, NLC Loans helped over a dozen local and national charities.  The recipients included the Ronald McDonald House, the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland, Cornerstone of Hope, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Brittany Taylor, Make a Wish Foundation, Shoes and Clothes for Kids, W.A.G.S. for Kids, the Cleveland APL, Fisher House of Cleveland, Hunger Network of Cleveland and finally, Jeremy Cares. In total, for 2016 alone, NLC Loans employees raised approximately $34,000 to give back to these deserving organizations.

Jeremy Cares is one of the company’s largest initiatives and has been a focus for the last five years. Jeremy George was 17 years old, a senior in high school, when he was diagnosed with TCell-ALL. The George family received an outpouring of love and support from friends, family and strangers and knew they couldn’t repay everyone, but could look to create an organization that would support and enrich the lives of children and their families stricken with similar illnesses.  Last week, NLC Loans held their annual Jeremy Cares fundraiser, raising more than $10,000 in an evening event, with more donations coming in each day. With these funds, the charity’s team shops for gifts for the children at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

“We’re proud to have employees that care this much supporting others in need.  There is always a waiting list of employees who wish to help.  It’s a testament to their character,” said NLC Loans’ CEO, Jeremy Sopko.
